Step 2 - Your First 30 Day Challenge - Most Important

You have two very simple jobs as a beauty consultant.  To share our amazing, award-winning products with women and to share the incredible business opportunity with women.  So you have two training challenges to complete in the first 30 days.

 

• Book 10 Practice Shows/Experiences with 3-6 women to be held in your first 30 days.

Not sure what to say?  Use the scripts from Pg 5 of the New Consultant GO KIT.  This practice will build your confidence and skills. When you book 10 parties, your goal will be to hold 5 parties.  50% of parties typically will postpone or reschedule, so holding 5 is the goal.  
  Don't Miss out on your prize. You will receive your Super Cute Money Bag from my office for booking 10 parties within your first 30 days.  You just need to set the dates and times (not actually hold them) and provide Meara the Hostess name/phone # List to earn your prize.  To Claim Prize: Text Meara to request your Super Cute Money Bag.

 

• Book 6 Mary Kay Practice Sharing Appointments. Become a "PEARL GIRL"!

A sharing appointment is when we ask a woman to give us feedback on our business opportunity info.  Our beloved founder always asked us to pass this amazing opportunity onto others.  

 

A Sharing Appointment can be held one of three ways:

1.  Online: She can watch an info video and submit feedback on this website under The Opportunity.  Feedback will be sent to my office.
I will forward you her feedback that same day via email.

2.  Virtual / or In person: We can "meet" via FaceTime, Zoom, FB Messenger video, Google Duo or WhatsApp with her for 15-20 minutes; or in person for coffee/tea to share the opportunity.

3.  By phone:  We can set up a three-way conference call and conduct a quick 20 minute interview by phone.

• Once you have 3 Practice Sharing Appointments completed, you will receive a Pearl Earring Set.  

• And when you have 3 more completed (6 total), you receive a Pearl Bracelet.  

• When your first active team member joins, you will receive a Pearl Necklace to complete your set.

At the end of the 30 days, if you have shared our products with at least 30 women via an online/virtual or F2F product trial (Face 2 Face) gathering and shared the opportunity with 6 women, you get a HUGE PRIZE for completing a Power Start Plus.  Almost all women in our unit achieve this and receive the coveted Power Start Plus Pin.

Step 3 - What to Say at A Your First In Person F2F Party   

• Watch the party that came in your starter kit, it's a DVD or find on MKIT in the Video Lounge or inside your GREAT STARTS App. 
  Take notes and practice.

 

Step 4 - How to Book F2F Appointments

• Read these scripts for ideas on how to book your first appointments.

• You'll will need to know how to book two parties from every party you hold and get TONS of referrals from ALL your appointments.  To learn,  click on Training. Click on Holding Parties & Facials. 

• Listen to the Booking Audio by clicking this pink link.  When you get to the page, scroll to the bottom for the training.   ​

Step 5 - Start your Mary Kay Business Education

1. Log onto www.marykayintouch.com

2. Click on Eduction Tab.

3. Click on one of the 3 choices: Color Confident, Skin Care Confident or Mary Kay University.
   Become Color Confident
   Our company seriously has an amazing training program for all of our skincare products and colors!  Complete this training program and you can put the Advanced Color Consultant Logo on your Business Cards so everyone will know you are a Color Expert!
   Visit www.marykayintouch.com.  
   Click the Products tab.  
   Click Product Central.  
   Click Color Confident.  Once the program opens, the links are at the top of the page in Light Pink.  Click a category to begin.  
   To Claim Prize: Text Meara  and request your Color Confident Certificate.

4. Click on the first segment in the Skin Care Confident module & begin learning!

5. Complete the Color Confident or Skin Care Confident training within your first two weeks.  
   Receive a prize once each Certification is completed.

6. To Claim Prize: Text Meara to request your Advanced Color or Skin Care Certification or MKU Master's Certificate.
    

 

Step 6- Open a separate Checking Account

Open a separate personal checking account to keep your personal and business accounts separate.  This is helpful when it comes to tax time.

 

Step 7 - Attend Your First Virtual OR Local Meeting

Attend our Team Virtual meeting every week.  You'll receive your hands on New Consultant Training Classes during these short 45-min to
1 hour events.  Dress for success in a skirt or dress for all events.

If Local & able to be IN PERSON:

These fun events are put on every week by local directors in your area for all local Beauty Consultants to be trained, inspired, and to grow amazing friendships.  If you want to make your business work for you, then this event is a requirement every week.  It's recommended to NEVER miss this event.  It is the key to your success.  Most consultants will treat this event like they do a job.  They are there every single week.  It's the best way you can spend 2 hours of your time once a week.  And you can always bring guests along for a makeover, so you can earn while you learn.

 

If you live close to the greater Denver, CO Area: Text me that you will be coming so we can have your New Consultant Pin Ready for you!  Check the schedule of events offered for you and print your new Consultant Training.

 

If you are out of town: Let me know 5 towns you'd be able to travel to and I will find you an awesome local director to adopt you plus an incredible event you can attend in your area, when in person events are able to be held again. 

 

Step 8 - ​Get Awards and Ribbons!  Weekly Accomplishment Sheet!!

Once a week you will submit your weekly accomplishments for recognition and ribbons.  You can submit Weekly Accomplishment sheets online.

1. Visit www.marykayintouch.com.

2. Click on Business Tools.

3. Scroll to Weekly Accomplishment Sheets.

4. Enter in your sales for the week.

5. Send them every Sunday, even if you sold nothing for the week - remember a tracked number grows, and it always helps to be accountable to yourself and someone else to help keep you encouraged and on track!

6. And Out of State Consultants, you can send weekly accomplishments to me plus to your adopted director for local recognition.
