Why did I start?

 

It's really very simple...I used the products from the time I was 15 years old and my Momma became a Mary Kay Consultant to save money on the products we loved, with the possibility of extra income. She was successful every time she scheduled and held a Beauty Show...A few years later when I was newly-wed military wife, I became a Consultant for the same reasons (to make some extra income and for the flexibility) AND because my Momma told me she believed that I would be successful.

I was expecting in 2 1/2 months, and I accomplished that goal in my first five shows! I went on to move 12 times in the first 14 years of my business. In my incredible life journey in Mary Kay Cosmetics that began when I was 20 years old, I've walked through being a daughter/sister/new military wife, new Mother, friend, single Mom, remarried with a large blended family, community and business leader, caregiver for an aging parent, nurse upstairs/executive downstairs,

Why do I stay?

 

  I stay because I made a promise that I haven't fulfilled...yet. When I became a New Consultant with Mary Kay I had the opportunity to meet Mary Kay Ash shortly thereafter...the first of many times I would have the good fortune to see her face to face, hear her speak and learn from our founder in person. When I became a New Independent Sales Director I had a chance to speak with her privately for a few moments during my Director in Training Week...I said, "Mary Kay how can I ever thank you enough for ALL you have done for me and my family?" and she replied, "Oh my dear, simply Pass It On. That's how you can repay me, Pass It On." I said, "I promise I will always." I believe that I still have purpose that I've been preserved to fulfill, a destiny I have been called to, and a life message that can be an encouragement to or give hope to others. Therefore my promise lives on...and
I stay...with JOY!
